Natural Looking Self Tanners

Never forget to wear  self tanner in the summer. A tan is a rather complicated thing. It ages the skin dramatically, but when we have a light tan, we actually appear younger. That explains how just about everyone became addicted the sunbathing in the 60s and 70s. It does tremendous damage to the skin in the long run, but in the short run it delivers a satisfaction of looking better and younger.

Fortunately, there are many great self tanners on the market today. This should cure the fix for those who believe that they must tan.

Some of the very best go on looking brown, never orange, such as Fake Bake, Moroccan Tan, and bronzers, if you already have some color.

Here is a link to the very best, and reasonably priced self tanners. Fountain of Youth- Self Tanners.

There are numerous bad self tanners, but if one knows which ones look natural, they are well worth the purchase.

Fake tans are nothing new. My father, who grew up in Europe during the 1940s remembers his friends buying something called, "Man Tan", that this group of young men put on in Scotland before going away for the summer to meet "lady friends." Unfortunately, it rained and the guys were left with extremely contrasting brown and white streaks on their faces after walking to the train station in the rain.

I can relate. Being a precocious young girl in the 70s, I was fascinated with beauty and fashion, and found a bottle of QT (Quick Tan) in my mother's makeup bag. I read the directions and was fascinated by what I read. This product claimed that you could rub this stuff on and tan weather or not you even bothered to go outside. Of course I tried it only to develop the strangest brown streaks that one can imagine. I was careful putting it on, but I still managed to have ugly streaks everywhere. The product would not even wash of the hands.

One thing that I have noticed about the new fake tans is that they are generally not as dark looking as the older faux tans, but they are far less streaky. In fact, after practicing a few times, and always being sure to wear disposable gloves during application, my fake tans look absolutely flawless.

My personal favorite is Moroccan Tan, and a close second is Fake Bake.
